OVERVIEW
The Billet has easy access from the land to the stern seating area. One simple step across level with the land brings you on board The Billet. A helping hand is always available.
Access into the boat is by way of 4 steps (24cm, 27cm, 27cm and 26cm) down into the galley. Well positioned grab rails provide added security as you descend into the boat.
Access to the bow seating area is by 2 steps, 27cm and 33cm including a 13cm lip. Once again grab rails are available to assist access to the bow seating area.
If the boat is moored in locations where the land is above or below the stern level, we provide portable steps to assist access or egress. A gangplank is available for use when the boat cannot moor close to the bank, but this is rarely used or needed.
All areas inside the boat are level.
The boat is not suitable for permanent wheelchair users. We can accommodate lightweight folding wheelchairs and walking frames in the saloon. Wheelchair access into guests’ cabins, unfortunately, is not possible due to the tight space between corridor and cabin.
Please contact us if you require further information about access on to The Billet or access within The Billet.
